Tasting Notes:

Pale straw in colour with green highlights. Lifted tropical aromas of passionfruit and honeydew fill the glass. The palate is well balanced with a delicate acidity and further tropical notes of passionfruit and gooseberry.

Technical:

Much like the previous vintage, the 2020 harvest has produced wines of immense quality but with very low quantities. Another dry winter and mild weather during the ripening period lead to exquisite whites coming from our Mt Crawford vineyard. The varieties maintained their natural acid as they ripened and showed hallmark Eden Valley characters. Upon harvest the bunches were few and far between and the berries themselves small. This led to fruit with great perfume and intense flavour along with elegance and balance.

Crushed, de-stemmed and then pressed using a membrane press. The ferment was kept slow and cool to retain all the natural flavours and aromatic qualities. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at a cool temperature to retain all the natural flavours and aromatic qualities. The wine was blended, clarified, filtered and then bottled soon afterwards so the wine was a true expression of the grape/ terroir from which it was made.
