Conquest Barossa Valley Chardonnay 2022

Medium Straw in colour. White peach typical of Barossa Valley chardonnay with citrus and melon. Lovely length and structure with flavours of white peach, citrus, melon and oak all play a pivotal role to the balance achieved. This wine is a great example of a fresh flavoursome Barossa Valley Chardonnay with little influence from the winemaker, which allows the talent of the grower to shine, as the vineyard is where truly great wines are made.

Normans Encounter Bay Chardonnay 2022

This Chardonnay displays aromas of stone fruit, ripe melons and zesty lemon. Abundant ripe tropical fruit flavours fill the mouth followed by some nutty characters for a long soft finish.

Harmulist South Australian Chardonnay 2022

Flavoursome mouthfuls of citrus and stone fruit are the hosts and blend seamlessly to create a silky rich mid palate which is voluptuous and well rounded. Some subtle hints of freshly cut grass give an interesting side note whilst crisp acidity bounds the palate into a beautiful complex and drinkable wine.

1838 Reserve Chardonnay 2023

Bright fresh peach and citrus flavours flourish on the nose. Crisp acid of tropical fruits complete a lovely mouth filling texture which lifts the palate, and a soft creamy texture gives length for a long clean finish.

Zilzie Wines Victorian Chardonnay 2021

It begins with captivating aromas, then the luscious peaches and vibrant summer grapefruit tantalize the palate, whilst the subtle oak just lingers in the background. Fresh citrus, peach and tropical aromas with subtle vanillin oak. Grapefruit and peach characters with a zesty acidic finish.

Alexander Cameron Limestone Coast Chardonnay 2021

Fruit driven style with lovely stone fruit ripe intensity with some underlying freshly cut grass aromas. The Chardonnay fruit from selected form Limestone Coast vineyards were used in this blend and it gives the wine length and structure. The palate is vibrant and fresh with flavours of melon and pineapple and a long finish.

Technical:

Conquest Barossa Valley Chardonnay 2022

The grapes were delivered to the winery and de-stemmed before being soft pressed. The pressing were kept separate and after cold settling and clarification the juice undertook a cool fermentation. An aromatic yeast isolate was selected to enhance the aromatics and older French oak provides wonderful depth and creamy/nutty characters. Make to drink upon release while the fruit flavour is at its most fresh and vibrant although will develop more complexity over the short term.

Zilzie Wines Victorian Chardonnay 2021

Specially selected parcels of Chardonnay from our own vineyard and some from long term growing partners across Central Victoria were harvested in the cool of the night to preserve the fresh fruit flavors and delicate aromas. Each parcel was cool fermented separately in stainless steel, with some parcels being aged on lees, and some on French oak for a few months or both.

Finding the perfect balance when blending these parcels together for the finished wine is another layer of the artistry. It begins with captivating aromas, then the luscious peaches and vibrant summer grapefruit tantalize the palate, whilst the subtle oak just lingers in the background. This highly drinkable wine is crafted for enjoyment upon release.
