Tasting Notes:

Pale lime green with straw hues. Lifted aromas of lemon and lime combined with more subtle floral perfume in the background along with a faint hint of apple. The palate is clean, crisp and fresh, loaded with lemon and grapefruit flavours wrapped around a core of well-balanced mineral acidity.

Technical:

Normans Wines is one of the oldest and most respected family names in Australian winemaking. Since 1853, when Jesse Norman planted his first vines in Adelaide, Normans Wines has developed a reputation for premium award winning Australian wines. Normans Wines is one of Australia's founding winemakers. The Bin Range reflects the bin numbers at the Old Clarendon Winery where Normans have produced so many epic wines throughout the years, with the company's commitment to the tradition of fine wine making.

2012 featured some of the best possible growing conditions in the Clare Valley for Riesling for some time, the fruit was picked at optimum ripeness, before it was de-stemmed and crushed in preparation for fermentation. The free-run juice was inoculated with pure yeast culture in a single stainless steel vessel in order to retain the purity of flavour provided by the Riesling grape variety and Clare Valley growing region. The wine was fermented at a controlled temperature of between 12-15 degrees prior to fining, filtration and bottling.
