Tasting Notes:

Light straw colour. Aromatic stonefruits, fresh pineapple, slightly spicy Creamy and full flavoured mouthfeel, but with crisp fruit characters like new season nectarines and apricots. Clean finish, not to cloying..

Technical:

We grow 3 acres of Viognier. This is the fourth release of this wine and we only make 350 dozen. It is lovingly known at the winery as “Steve’s Love Child”. Steve is our winemaker who has a bit of a passion for the variety.

The grapes were whole bunch pressed with all of the pressings being included. Juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks with 100% wild yeast and left on lees for two months. The wine was then racked and pumped into French oak 30% new and the remainder 2 & 3 year old oak. The wine remained in oak for a further 6 months.
