Lemon lime. Almond brioche mixed with lemon zest and subtle oak spice. A beautifully classic Yarra Valley mineral backbone. Its fruit center is complex and lively. Grapefruit, nashi pear and vanilla cream combine with lip-smacking acidity, offering an intricate yet seamless style of purity.
The 2017 vintage was a 1-in-20 season in the Yarra Valley. Optimal growing conditions, allowed for perfectly balanced vines and beautifully ripened grapes. In these pristine years, spectacular fruit flavours are combined with intensity and power, producing wines of true longevity. This wine's fruit was hand picked from our Coldstream site (50%) and our sites on the Valley floor (50%). Fermented in 500L French oak for 16 days, then matured in combination new and seasoned French oak for 11 months.

"Hand-picked, Mendoza and P58 clones, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in French oak (25% new), matured for 11 months. Intense and mouthfilling, with white peach and grapefruit doing the heavy lifting. The finish is particularly impressive, likewise the aftertaste."
96 Point Rated - Huon Hooke The Real Review
"Light to mid-yellow-straw colour, with an aroma of lightly-toasted almond, a little smokiness and some charcuterie-like complexity. The wine is delicate on the tongue and super-refined. A cleaner style of chardonnay. Refreshing. This is a wine of real finesse. Lovely, and it will certainly reward even short-term cellaring. Will probably rate higher with a little more time."
93 Point Rated - The Wine Front
"One of the more expensive Yarra Valley Chardonnay wines, traditionally at least, though there’s increasing competition on the big ticket items these days. Fine and lean in style, with green apple, almond, a little smoke and bacon. Tight, lemon and apple flavour, almond cream, bracing acidity, and a long cool finish. It doesn’t have a great deal of stuffing, in terms of flavour or weight, but should improve with bottle age."
