"Yering Station Shiraz Viognier. Just as an aside, my wife calls the Viognier grape variety “Sneaky”. That’s her name for it. She’ll say, Does it have a bit of Sneaky in it? It’s warm but neat and overall it feels svelte. It’s ever-so-slightly nutty and vanillin with it but then it’s all cherry-plum, redcurrant, sweet woodsy spice and cedar. Tannin is fine-grained and just firm enough and while length is good, there’s a slightly planky note to it. It’s young, it will improve, the seams are still apparent but it will come together."
