Crafted from 50+ year old vines in the prestigious Greenock sub-region of the Barossa Valley, this limited-release Shiraz is a powerhouse of intensity, depth, and regional character. With only 30 barrels produced, this is an exclusive expression of old-vine Barossa fruit at its finest.

The nose opens with lifted aromas of ripe blackberry, blood plum, and black cherry, underscored by complex layers of licorice, dark chocolate, and warm spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and mouth-filling, delivering a luxurious wave of dark berry fruit, raisin, ironstone, and a touch of earthy minerality.

The wine’s structure is framed by fine-grained tannins and expertly judged oak, offering both balance and impressive cellaring potential. This is a traditional Barossa Shiraz that combines richness with elegance, crafted to age gracefully or deliver immediate satisfaction.

Awarded a stellar 96 Points, this is a Barrel Reserve Shiraz that showcases the hallmark power and complexity of the Barossa Valley. A must-have for lovers of bold, expressive Australian red wines.

Technical:

Jackman Vineyards is a dedication to James Jackman who purchased the first portion of land in September 1850 from the Bevan family who were the original owners of the township land. The land was developed as the Greenock Arms Hotel. Today the area produces some of the highest quality fruit in the Barossa Valley if not the entire world. Our barrel reserve is a wine sourced from the oldest vines on the property we only release a selection of the highest quality barrels in the best vintages using a maximum of 30 barrels in this limited release flagship Shiraz.
