Tasting Notes:

Experience the bold elegance of the Gold Medal 95 Point Barossa Valley Shiraz 2016 Cleanskin — a masterfully crafted red wine sourced from select old vine vineyards across Australia's prestigious Barossa Valley. This award-winning Shiraz, rated 95 points and an international gold medal recipient, is a true expression of traditional Barossa winemaking.

The fruit was carefully harvested, de-stemmed, and fermented on skins for 7–10 days to capture maximum natural fruit intensity. Warm fermentation and three days of post-ferment maceration have resulted in soft, fleshy tannins and a robust structure. Following pressing and blending, the wine was matured for 12 months in new American oak, adding depth and complexity.

In the glass, it shows a dense dark red core with bright crimson hues. Aromas of dark chocolate, ripe plums, blackberries, and mocha leap from the glass, framed by a powerful oak backbone. The palate is rich and mouth-filling, offering layers of intense dark berry fruit, well-integrated tannins, and a long, persistent finish that lingers for up to a minute.

This is a serious, old-school Barossa Shiraz — bold, structured, and cellar-worthy. Enjoy it now with decanting, or cellar confidently for the next 10 years to unlock its full potential.

Ideal with char-grilled steak, slow-cooked lamb shoulder, beef bourguignon, or rich mushroom risotto. A perfect partner for strong aged cheeses like cheddar or blue.
