Tasting Notes:

The Bayliss Road Single Vineyard McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2024 is a standout expression of South Australian craftsmanship, hailing from the Tatachilla subregion of McLaren Vale. Sourced from a meticulously managed single vineyard on Bayliss Road, this 96 Point Rated, Gold Medal-winning Chardonnay is both rich and refined.

Pale green-straw in hue, the bouquet reveals green apple, almond, ripe peach, and grapefruit, seamlessly integrated with elegant French oak influence. Fermented in a combination of oak and stainless steel, the wine underwent daily lees stirring to enhance body and complexity. After full oak maturation for 9 months in seasoned French barrels, the final blend was bottled under screw cap to preserve its vibrant fruit and oak character.

The palate is layered with apple, pear, white peach, and citrus zest, enriched by almond notes and creamy oak. A bold, textural white with great length and structure, this Chardonnay is drinking beautifully now but will evolve gracefully for 5–8 years for those who appreciate a more mature style.

Ideal for pairing with buttery roast chicken, grilled lobster tails, creamy pasta dishes, or a wedge of brie or aged gouda. A luxurious white for connoisseurs and collectors alike.

95 Point Rated & 5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Stylish and complex, the wine shows apricot, lemon peel, vanilla, and roasted hazelnut aromas on the nose with a hint of spicy overtone. The palate offers excellent weight and persistence, superbly structured by refined texture and fine acidity. Wonderfully harmonious and enticing with a prolonged, sophisticated finish. At its best: 2026 to 2036. $85.00."
