Dark inky red in colour. Full bodied and slightly chewy the palate has flavours of ripe blackcurrant infused with cedary tobacco characters and spice.

Technical:

Named after Gregory Blaxland, who as the co-leader of the first successful crossing of the Blue Mountains, later became one of the first settlers to plant grapes and make wine in Australia. This is the first vintage named in is honour. Extended skin contact allowed the palate to soften. This wine matures in 1-year-old French oak barrels for 6 months to allow the fruit aromas to develop.
