Tasting Notes:

Dark purple with crimson highlights. A strong, forceful nose of compressed dark berries, lifted floral notes and hints of spiced oak. Powerful dark red and black fruits come to the fore with a lift of sweet aromatics curling through the palate. A hint of spice and savoury mineral character adds to the complexity and intensity. Dense and chewy tannins give a grip and texture that envelops the fruit and delivers a long and lingering finish.

Technical:

Parcels of fruit were harvested and fermented separately prior to being put to oak hogsheads for maturation. The final blend was composed out of barrel with the wine then given time in stainless steel to come together prior to bottling.

Dark red and youthful in the glass. Lifted aromas of mulberry, dark cherry, stewed plum, spice and cedar. Rich, full and fleshy flavours of plum, mocha, boysenberry and creamy, cedary oak. Firm, shapely tannins and bright acidity provide shape and line. Great value.

Shiraz sourced from Bethany; matured for six to 18 months in oak. Ginger-spiced satsuma plum, blackberry and black cherry fruits are on display here with hints of salted licorice, roasting meats, chocolate and purple floral tones. Unctuous with an impressive fruit flow, fine tannin grip and a cassis-like sheen to the glossy fruit on the exit.
