Tasting Notes:

Intense vibrant purple colour. Blackcurrant, chocolate and sweet spice. Rich flavours of ripe berries, plus a hint of mint and chocolate, balanced with chalky tannin and smooth lingering finish.

Technical:

South Australia's Limestone Coast is home to our vineyard and the source of Barton Steer wines. Full, rich and powerful reds reflect the strength of the region, and beauty of the surrounding landscape. Carefully selected grapes from Limestone Coast, gently pressed and slowly fermented, aged with American oak for 12 months to allow the fruit aromas to develop and tannins to naturally soften.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Just delicious! This wine is delicious, well finished and a makes for a lovely red wine drinking experience. I first tried it at my parents place. My dad had bought a case and poured me a glass. I thought it was divine and went home and ordered a case too. We're almost finished that and about to order another. We've had none of the issues some other reviewers have experienced and nor have my parents.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jacqui from ??? I bought 3 bottles of this wine in a mixed case of 12 and 2 bottles of this wine was spoiled (off). I was told to send back to be reimbursed. However they had been opened and were corked. Was not worth the hassle as I did not want money back, rather, reimbursed with new bottles. Very disappointing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by borani from Undrinkable I bought this on 23/8/20. I have just opened the 2 that I bought and both were " corked" and full of lees. Acidic and Undrinkable! Up until now I have found wines from GWD to be excellent. Maybe I will get a refund?
