Dark red with purple hue. Exhibits violets, cassis, dark berry fruit with overtones of oak. The mid-weight palate shows excellent flavour and structure with rich fruit and fine grained tannins. The finish is long and flavoursome.
Redman Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes grown on vines that are over 40-years-old on the Redman family vineyards in the heart of Coonawarra.
92 Point Rated Amanda Yallop - The Real Review
"Dense purple hue. Unmistakable cabernet aromas, blackcurrant, tomato leaf, tobacco and sweet spices indicating time spent in oak. Full-bodied, with ripe black fruit flavours, powdery tannin and a chewy texture. A strong finish that lingers."
92 Point Rated - Jane Faulkner James Halliday Wine Companion
"One whiff of this will transport you to the Redman's cellar door. Full of ripe cassis and blackberry jam, dusted with cinnamon and woodsy spices, with tobacco and cedary oak. No shortage of tannins rolling across the full-bodied palate. Youth is holding its potential back – a few more years bottle age will sort that out."
Mike Bennie - The Real Review
"Stalwart producers of Coonawarra now fortified by fourth generation Mike and Dan Redman buying into the family business. A bon-bon full of cabernet for all at Xmas time. This is well priced, reliable stuff. It was a 12.8% alcohol wine in 2017, leaps to 14.4% in a single bound. Curious. Choc-berry, choc-minty scents, sweet and lush to taste, juicy, fleshy, rolling around all merrily and formless with a little citrusy bite to acidity to tidy things up. Nice blueberry, salted liquorice, cassis and salt bush notes through the wine too. Blobs into the palate with a little crispness and crunch, then finishes quick with some smudged, dusty tannin. Easy drinking"
