Tasting Notes:

The vines were planted on gravelly ancient soils with limestone, silicates and ferrous pebbles. It belongs to The Lane Vineyard’s Occasion Wines Series, their collection of complex and structured wines aged in fine French oak. With an alcohol level of 13%, it has a rich gold colour with a light green hue when swirled in the glass. It exudes a complex and lifted bouquet of lemon myrtle, kaffir lime, blackcurrant leaf and hints of oatmeal. The palate is a layered display of lychee, white peach, zesty citrus and minerality. It has excellent length and fine structure. This wine goes well with fish, seafood, salads and vegetable side dishes, although it can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif when chilled.
