Tasting Notes:

Bursting with intense aromas of grapfruit and lime zest with lively passionfruit and elderflower floral notes adding allure and complexity. This wine delivers an elegant array of delicious flavours and a crisp refreshing finish that synonymous with Marlborough.

Whilst this exciting Sauvignon Blanc is deliciously drinkable on it's own, we suggest that you explore the sensational pairing of te Pa Sauvignon Blanc with fresh seafood and grilled spring vegetables.

Technical:

The rich top soils of the lower Wairau Valley have long been considered the finest agricultural soils in Marlborough. They give us complex flavours and pungent aromatics. Combine this with the influence from Rarangi alluvials deposited by the mighty Wairau river 300 years ago, and we present a wine brimming with complexity, personality and elegance.

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning, transferred to the winery where it underwent temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks using carefully selected yeast cultures. Post ferment maturation on fine lees gives the wine a refined texture to compliment the exuberant aromatics. The wine was blended from 10 different parcels, each of which added their own unique character to this wine.

A fabulous elegant rendition, the delicately fragrant bouquet shows white nectarine, grapfruit, lemon zest and subtle herbaceous notes. It is focused and finely textured on the palate, beautifully structed by bright acidity. The wine is linear and impressively long on the fresh.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Roddles from Dans' pick and boy did he get it right. Comes from the Upper Wairau Valley. The soil is a mix of gravel and silt which maximizes the hallmark thiols and esters which gives it its distinctive flavour. the colour is typically pale straw gold.. It is a delightful wine, refreshingly zingy with fine acidity which complements a great full and textural palate which does wonders by complementing the aromatics perfectly.The combination gives intense flavours which fill the mouth and allows the wine a deliciously long finish.
