Tasting Notes:

Luscious lifted notes of honeysuckle, nectarine and stonefruit on the nose. The palate is textured with mealy aniseed spice characters in the mid palate with a long silken finish.

Technical:

"Our aim is best summed up by ‘fine wine begins with the vine’. Our approach is through sustainable viticulture where we strive for balance in the vineyard. This ultimately provides grapes that are a reflection of our particular site". The grapes were harvested in the cool morning and the juice cold settled for 48 hours prior to racking to stainless steel tanks and a portion to seasoned oak for ferment. We use a mixture of cultured yeast and wild yeast, and a mixture of stainless steel barrels and seasoned oak puncheons. The wine was then racked and left to mature on fine lees before bottling.

It is delightfully fragrant on the nose displaying white stone fruit, poached pear, green rockmelon and floral characters. The palate delivers pristine fruit flavours, enhanced by rounded mouthfeel and silky texture. Elegant and immediately appealing, the wine offers plenty of tasty fruit flavours and finishes long and smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The menace from Classic Pinot Gris We purchased a small amount of this wine a few weeks ago and I opened a bottle last night. Top class example of the wine with excellent varietal flavor and well-balanced acidity for an NZ wine. Will certainly recommend this wine to my friends.

The nose on or is mild but the mouth is refined and fruity in all the right ways. The finish is soft, not leaving you with an undesirable wine-o mouth! I wouldn't know it was organic if I tasted it blind. It's just a nice drop, love it!
