Schild Estate Three Springs Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021 - 14.50% Alc

Intense and complex this full-bodied wine is rich and velvety with firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. Flavours of blackberry, plum and cherry with subtle notes of dark chocolate and black pepper round out this robust and well-balanced wine.

Viking Odins Honour Barossa Valley Shiraz 2019 - 14.50% Alc

Dark crimson red with dark black core. Rich earthy characters with an abundance of black fruit followed by hints of chocolate, licorice, leather, black pepper and oak. This is a big traditional style of Shiraz, which we recommend is decanted and allowed to breathe prior to consuming. Black fruits are at the forefront here and an earthy character reflecting its age is also evident although freshness from the fruit and natural acid highlights its ability to age further with ease. The oak and tannin melt into the fruit and some more subtle hints of leather and just a touch of black pepper create further complexity.

Peter Lehmann Radical Barossa Shiraz 2022 - 14.00% Alc

Medium intensity ruby-red with bright garnet hues. On the nose, rich aromas of blueberry, plum and dark fruits intertwined with violet and spice from Touriga Nacionale. The palate is full bodied with a textural midpalate dominated by bright red fruits and with nuances of dark fruits, chocolate and cedar oak. The finish is vibrant and satisfying, leaving a long trail of generous juicy fruit and full palate tannin.

Bayliss Road Single Vineyard McLaren Vale Shiraz 2023 - 14.80% Alc

Big round palate dark fruit of blackberry and plum dominant with olive and licorice undertones. Oak spice provides drive and length whilst silky smooth tannins round everything together perfectly.

Magarey Lane Coonawarra Shiraz 2022 - 14.50% Alc

This Shiraz delivers notes of dark-fruits paired with rich red-berry concentrates. Touches of subtle oak and hints of pepper spice complete the palate, for a textured and layered finish.

Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz 2021 - 14.50% Alc

Red and black cherries, ripe raspberry, boysenberry and a lick of baking spice. Morello cherry, blackberries and raspberries along with a mix of cloves, cardamom and white pepper. Fine tannins and an understated length provided by a delicate acid line.

Crown & Anchor McLaren Vale Shiraz 2023 - 14.80% Alc

Full flavoured with black and blue fruits, violets, olives, plum and oak. Lovely length and structure with flavours of mulberry, blueberry, olive, and chocolate. Bright, lush full flavoured wine which is brilliantly balanced with spice and tannin. Generous and voluptuous depth of oak with silk like finish.

O'Keefe Trail Grand Reserve Heathcote Shiraz 2015 - 14.50% Alc

The palate is densely layered, its long, textured and richly full bodied. Blackberry and cherry with forest floor almost earthy like characters. Well-structured its a powerful wine with epic length and fine tannins.

Kellys Promise Reserve McLaren Vale Shiraz 2017 - 14.50% Alc

Deep crimson red to ink. Black fruit, lifted violets, kalamata olives, some spice and earth characters. Polished and rounded the mid palate has considerable weight with black fruit flavours, cassis, violets, olives, spice, game meat, tannin and oak notes. Muscular and powerful in its youth ensuring longevity. Drinking well as an aged release 4 years post vintage and will continue to drink well into the next decade post release to circa 2030 and beyond.

La Bise Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2023 - 13.90% Alc

Plums and red currants from the pristine Adelaide Hills fruit with spice and hazelnuts from the 18 months on oak barrels. Big flavours and lots of them. a wine densely packed with flavour. Plums, spices and a lovely, long finish give sophistication to this Shiraz.

Stonehaven Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 - 14.50% Alc

This wine presents fresh and lively aromas with a soft and supple structure. It features delicious aromas of blackberry, cherry and spicy oak to create a wonderfully complex wine with a fine tannin structure and lingering palate.

Accolades & Awards:

Schild Estate Three Springs Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021

97 Point Rated - Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Super rich and lavish, the wine shows dark and purple fruit intensity, clove, star anise, cedar and chocolate tart characters on the nose, followed by a powerfully concentrated palate offering velvety texture backed by layers of silky tannins. Opulent and delectably expressed. At its best: now to 2038."

96 Point Rated - James Halliday Wine Companion

"Super deep crimson in the glass with opulent aromas of blackberry, black cherry and boysenberry fruits cut with hints of clove, cinnamon, blackstrap licorice, blackforest cake, dark chocolate bullets, cedar, vanilla bean, olive tapenade and earth. Full bodied and lush with a curtain of powdery tannin and a beautiful créme-de-cassis-like flow to the fruit. There's lots of latent power and fruit depth on display here but nothing feels heavy or overdone. Drink to: 2048"

96 Point Rated - Ray Jordan Wine Pilot

"Gosh, this is a good wine. You know that from the first aromas of perfumed dark fruits with a light lifted scented African violet and rose petal. On the palate, the plush plummy fruit characters come together with spice and dark chocolate rolling effortlessly off the palate as it gathers momentum to a long finish. Classy wine here."

96 Point Rated - Ken Gargett Wine Pilot

"A superb example of what a stellar vintage 2021 is. Under diam. The colour here is maroon/purple. Everything about this wine just screams big, bold, beautiful and Barossan. The noise is awash in flavours such as chocolate, plums, mocha, licorice and a hint of peppermint. Seductive in the extreme with that typical supple texture, there is juicy acidity and silky tannins. A full flavoured style exhibiting great length. Love it. A fifteen year proposition."

95 Point Rated - Sean Mitchell Grape Observer

"This is an outstanding shiraz from Schild Estate in the Barossa Valley. The vineyard for this wine is located in Rowland Flat, south of Tanunda. Labelled as the “Three Springs”, the wine is a rich and generous shiraz in the traditional Barossa style. The 2021 vintage has brooding aromas of dark plums and mulberries, with some dried herbs tucked underneath. The palate is full bodied, rich, deep and intense. Dark fruit and cedar characters fortify its generous length on the finish. You can drink this wine now. Nonetheless it should improve for another decade and have a drinking window into the 2040s."

95 Point Rated - Mike Bennie WBM

"A little extra bottle age and we have a wine settling into some faint secondary characters, toastiness, dried fruits, choc-biscut and prune. Around this, plush, lush, ripe plum, same raspberry jame notes and a good dose of sweet, woody spice. It flows well and feels pillowy and sumptuous to taste. It has a groove on."

"It's beautifully lifted on the nose, showing dark fruit intensity, tar, cured meat, warm spice, and elegant oak characters. The palate delivers succulent fruit flavours with plump mouthfeel and silky texture. Tannins are fine-grained and beautifully integrated, making the wine sturdy and lingering with complex flavours. At its best: 2027 to 2038. $85.00."

Magarey Lane Coonawarra Shiraz 2022

95 Point Rated - Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Wonderfully ripe and enticing, the wine shows blackberry, cake spice, cedar, game and dark chocolate aromas on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate displaying plump mouthfeel backed by layers of silky tannins, finishing long and opulent. At its best: now to 2040"

93 Point Rated - Ken Gargett Winepilot

"From a single vineyard in Coonawarra, and a top vintage, the colour here is a near black hue. It is a ripe and chocolatey style with notes of black olives, cloves, blackberries, plums and of course, chocolate. There is good focus throughout, through to fine, sleek tannins. Good balance and terrific persistence. This is delicious drinking now and surely at least over the next six to eight years."

Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz 2021

94 Point Rated - Campbell Mattinson Halliday Wine Companion
"It's spicy and well fruited but mostly it's an exercise in putting all the various components exactly where they should be. Everything here feels exact, and exacting. Red cherried fruit, black pepper notes, integrated cedar oak and drifts of assorted florals, all of which hone to a long, peppery finish. It's mid-weight at most and it's all it needs to be. This is the kind of wine that gives elegance its good name."

94 Point Rated - Ray Jordan Wine Pilot
"Beautiful, perfumed aromas greet from the start, cherry and dark plum with a spicy raspberry nuance. The palate is medium bodied and elegantly presented with those cherries and blackberry flavours emerging with a little sprinkle of pepper and dried herbs. The oak is well-weighted with the fine chalky tannins in support."

93 Point Rated - Gary Walsh The Wine Front
"Quite the dramatic name, is Cliff Edge. Could also be the name of an Australian private eye, and I’m something of a huge fan of the Cliff Hardy novels by Peter Corris. Anyway, that aside, average age of vines is now 25 years, and it gets 30% new French oak.Black cherry, raspberry, five spice, a little cedar oak. It’s medium to full-bodied, with plenty of cherry and forest berry fruit flavour, a fine dusty/peppery feel to tannin, quite fresh, with maybe something a little more savoury in the aftertaste, like black olive. The length is good also. It’s a good Cliff Edge, and also a rock solid expression of regional Shiraz."

92 Point Rated - Erin Larkin Robert Parker Wine Advocate

"The 2021 Shiraz Cliff Edge is rocky and purple on the nose with crushed granite, blackberry, white pepper and raspberry compote. Not hugely complex, but it is hugely satisfying. This is a concentrated, cool-climate Shiraz. It's a great (super) value at around $30 AUD. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap."

“It's richly fruited and opulent, showing dark fruit intensity, dried herb, fine leather and toasty oak characters on the nose. The palate is wonderfully generous with an abundance of ripe fruit flavours with spicy/savoury nuances. It's mouthfilling and delectable with a persistent, gutsy finish. At its best: now to 2037. $90.00.”

91 Point Rated - Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Brightly fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows sweet plum, dark cherry, dried herb, and warm spice aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate offering silky texture and fine-grained tannins. Harmonious and balanced with a lengthy, flavoursome finish. At its best: now to 2030."

Stonehaven Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

97 Point Rated - James Halliday Wine Companion

"Sourced from adjacent rows of 40yo vines using archetypal cabernet vinification. Hand-pruned to control the yield to 5t/ha; cold maceration and pressed directly to oak for 18 months in French hogsheads. This is a seriously good cabernet that has taken full advantage of an excellent vintage courtesy of skilled vinification by winemaker Ben Wurst. Its length is exceptional, as is its structure and slinky tannins, part fruit, part oak."

96 Point Rated & 5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"This is superbly fruited and complex on the nose, showing crème de cassis, anise, vanillin oak and dark chocolate aromas. The palate offers excellent concentration and plush texture, wonderfully complemented by expansive mouthfeel and finely infused tannins. Long and satisfying with plenty of delicious flavours. At its best: now to 2039."

95 Point Rated - Ken Gargett Wine Pilot

Under diam, this hails from a 40-year-old vineyard in Coonawarra. After an extended maceration, this was pressed directly to French oak hogsheads for 18 months maturation. Inky purple. This is concentrated, plush, focused. The nose offers alluring blackberries, licorice, beef stock, spices, a hint of mint and warm bitumen. Balanced, elegant, intense and very long, with silky tannins. This is one for the long haul. The palate moves to notes of bergamot and mulberries. There is early evidence of the complexity which is surely to come. Drink over the next ten to fifteen years."

95 Point Rated - Wine Showcase Magazine

93 Point Rated - QWine Review

"An excitable start is highlighted by cool mint, blackberries and blackcurrants. Dried sage and thyme step forward with time in the glass. There is no denying the richness and generosity although it is a little linear. Some more bottle should help this flesh out. Drying, puckering cocoa tannins create the urge for more with a deft touch of blueberry sweetness on close.""

91 Point Rated - Australian wine Review

"Dark maroon coloured, with this Liquid Mars Bar oak all over the nose. Indeed, that oak is dominant on oak and palate, like liquid coffee and chocolate. It’s berried, so smooth and plush too, all making for this seamless, and quite powerful Cabernet."

91 Point Rated - Wine Front

"It’s a clean. solid, well-made wine with raspberry, blackcurrant, cola and cedarwood flavours doing most of the grunt work. There are mint and bay leaf notes here too, giving it a clear varietal definition, though what it mostly tastes of is fresh fruit. Tannin is present but not in command; there’s a softness to this wine, an ease, in a flavoursome context."
