Tasting Notes:

Pale straw with green hues. Intense aromas reminiscent of fine dried herbs, white flowers, lemon and lime. Shows great length and depth on the palate with grapefruit and lime flavours, fresh rosemary and a hint of tropical fruit. The wine finishes with a soft natural acidity which balances the flavour intensity and a minerality that is delicious now or will reward medium to long-term cellaring. Enjoy with fresh oysters, seared scallops, salt and pepper squid or a Thai noodle salad.

Technical:

Eden Valley experienced below average rainfall during winter and the growing season. This, combined with a windy spring, led to below average crops. Warm summer days developed intense flavours and cool nights led to natural acidity being maintained, both perfect for making classic Pewsey Vale Riesling.

Accolades & Awards:

93 Points - Tyson Stelzer

"Pewsey Vale presents tension, purity and classic, focused stamina that make for an enduring style in a season so often characterised by ripe approachability. A long and honed finish of excellent acid drive defines a coiled and long-ageing release. Patience."

92 Points - Gary Walsh The Wine Front

"Ah Pewsey Vale Riesling. A staple in many households around Australia, and a regular feature at my girlfriend’s Dad’s house. I hope I got those possessive apostrophes right… Rock solid. Juicy, lemon and lime, talc perfume, slightly rugged, but charming, a burst of flavour, lime rind and a little spice, going more fleshy though a satisfying almost sherbetty finish. Ready for summer."

92 Points - Nick Butler The Real Review

"Intense lime with more subtle floral aromas ahead of a toasty, slightly developed character. It's broad and accessible - ripe citrus with a richness that defies its age. Acidity is bright and the wine is dry and confident. A crowd-pleaser. Versatile with food "
