Tasting Notes:

This is a great wine with plenty of surprises.  It has an intense, clean and bright cherry colour. There are aromas of ripe red fruits that are well defined with some oak flavours that are provided by ageing in French oak barrels.

Technical:

Founded in 1897 by Oria de Rueda family and located in the Dominion of Derramador in Requena, Torre Oria is one of the most prestigious wineries in Valencia. This wine comes from Valencia, region of Spain. D.O. Utiel-Requena. Vineyards are planted on fairly flat ground. The soil is brown with high limestone content, healthy and permeable although low in organic content. Continental climate with cold winters and frequent extreme summers give singular wines. Fermentation at a controlled temperature then the wine is aged in American and French oak barrels for 6 months. It rest in bottle to ensure a complete harmonised maturation. 70% Tempranillo and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
