Tasting Notes:

This medium body wine exhibits intense aromas of black berries, liquorice and plums with hints of herbs and vanilla notes. On the palate, the sweet berry and chocolate flavours are completed by a soft round texture finishing with fine velvety tannins.

I bought this wine mainly because i knew that the Watershed brand was soon to be a thing of the past, I am not generally a fan of blends but I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this wine, very smooth, very easy to drink, not what I would call a full bodied wine but none the less an excellent wine, wished I’d bought more!! Drinking well now, no need for prolonged cellaring.

However it appears a little light, perhaps just medium bodied, and will obviously improve with cellaring in the mid-term. Frankly the jury is still out on the SCM blend and the Cabernet is somewhat overridden by the other two varietals.

The initial distinct shiraz hit is tempered by the cabernet and merlot resulting in a very enjoyable product reinforcing my excellent experiences with the Margaret River region.
