Tasting Notes:

At release, the wine is a deep red with a dark, intense purple hue to the edge. The wine has rich, concentrated aromas of dark plum with a hint of crushed violets and mocha from the oak maturation. The palate is plump and generous with ripe fruit characters of black plum and red and black berries. Mocha coffee and subtle violet characters are also present along with vanilla oak to balance the fruit flavours. The wine is medium-bodied with a soft mid-palate & pleasing tannin structure. It is a well balanced wine with great texture, good length and enjoyable fruit flavours on the finish.

Technical:

The wine was matured with a combination of French and American oak for 12 months followed by fining, minimal filtration & bottling.Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
