From the cool-climate vineyards of Pipers Brook and the Tamar Valley, the Rochecombe Tasmania Pinot Noir 2024 is a vibrant and expressive wine showcasing Tasmania’s world-class Pinot potential. Harvested in the early morning to preserve freshness, the fruit underwent cold soak before stainless steel fermentation, with gentle pressing and full malolactic fermentation. Bottled early under screw cap, this Pinot Noir retains its perfumed aromatics and bright, juicy character.
On the nose, raspberry, boysenberry, and subtle black cherry aromas mingle with lifted spice. The palate is concentrated and elegant, delivering layers of blackberry, cherry, and lingering savoury spice wrapped in soft, fine tannins. Crafted for early enjoyment, yet balanced enough to reward short-term cellaring.
Rochecombe has earned 14 Trophies and 170 Medals, a reflection of their pioneering work and commitment to quality winemaking. With fruit sourced from old vines and carefully selected clones, this release showcases the vibrancy, structure, and finesse of premium Tasmanian Pinot Noir
90 Point Rated - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"It's sweetly ripe and fragrant on the nose, with aromas of ripe cherry, strawberry, subtle spice, and flowers. The palate delivers succulent fruit flavours with silky texture and polished tannins, making it smooth and rounded with a lengthy, juicy finish. At its best: now to 2027. $22.00. July 2025."
Shanteh Wale - Wine Pilot
"Apple and cranberry cordial, with a core of black cherries in syrup. Wet stone, dark pebbles and clove. The palate stays light and airy on its feet with the potting soil, crushed rock and a halo of blue fruit comes through. It’s fresh and crunchy in style, with a sliver of chewy red taffy on the finish. This would also hold some chill for picnic days. A perfect mixed dip plate wine. Drink now."
