Tasting Notes:

From one of Australia's most historically significant wine producers, the Metala Vineyards Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2018 delivers a bold and beautifully crafted expression of Langhorne Creek terroir. As the custodian of the oldest family-owned vines in the world, Metala brings legacy, precision, and elegance to every bottle—and this vintage is no exception.

The 2018 Shiraz bursts with generous forest fruit flavours, offering intensity and ripeness that are beautifully framed by plush vanillin oak tannins. The palate is full-bodied yet silky, finishing with a creamy, smooth texture that makes this wine both refined and immensely satisfying. Already drinking beautifully, this wine will also age gracefully over the next 10 years, developing further depth and complexity.

Awarded a Double Gold Medal at the CWSA (Hong Kong) and recognised as a multi-international and national award winner, this wine comes from a Jimmy Watson Trophy-winning producer, reinforcing its pedigree and collectability.

Pair the Metala Shiraz 2018 with slow-cooked lamb shoulder, venison stew, pepper-crusted steak, or a mature aged cheddar, allowing the richness of the wine to elevate bold, savoury dishes.
