Tasting Notes:

Deep dark purple to black centre with ruby red edge. Lifted bouquet of dark fruits and berries along with cassis and aniseed. A rich flavoursome red showing varietal and regional characteristics. Powerful fruit driven style with some flavours of black currant, plum, cassis and spice all featuring. The tannins are finely layered and provide great depth.

Technical:

Sourced from a single vineyard in the Hill River region of the Clare Valley. The fruit was destemmed and crushed prior to fermentation. A slow fermentation on skins over the next 10 days days occurred with pump overs and plunging kept to a minimum to maintain the quality and purity of the fruit.
