Tasting Notes:

This Shiraz combines flavours of red berry and ripe cherry, with aromas of raspberry, spice and chocolate. This elegant medium bodied wine drinks well now and will reward patient cellaring.

Technical:

2012 vintage’s lower yields helped to produce intensity and superb quality. Blessed with good winter rains and a cooler than average summer, winemakers welcomed quality parcels of fruit displaying outstanding colour, excellent varietal definition, and flavour.

 Good hue, although not especially deep; an elegant, medium-bodied wine from the cool Lyndoch district, spice and pepper hard-wired into its DNA; there are red and black cherry fruits too.

"Bright, medium to full purple/red colour. Slighty sweaty red fruit aromas, reductive and slightly raw. The palate is likewise: a little shrill and raw, but it has bright fruit and medium-body with slightly gritty, graphite-like but light tannins. Fair wine and OK value."
