From the heart of Victoria’s revered Great Western subregion in the Grampians, this 96 Point Gold Medal Shiraz is a masterclass in balance and boldness.
A deep, dark purple in the glass, this wine offers up rich aromas of dark plum, fruitcake, and vibrant spice. The palate is seamlessly structured, opening with a burst of sweet plum, followed by layers of savory pepper, integrated oak, and fine tannins that deliver a long, commanding finish.
Crafted from hand-selected fruit and vinified in small parcels to preserve character, it was aged in new oak for 12 months to harmonize the concentrated fruit intensity. Sourced from an iconic Grampians producer, this wine is drinking beautifully now and promises to age gracefully for up to 10 years.
Sourced from premium vineyards located in Great Western which forms part of the Grampians wine region one of Australia’s most highly regarded and oldest grape growing regions. Hand selected fruit was picked and transported to the winery for crushing and fermentation on skins. We kept each parcel separate from each load picked to enable blending options with differing characters. The use of new oak was used to infiltrate the wine over 12 months and bring the highly concentrated fruit flavour into balance. Will drink well now although will age well and develop more complexity over the next 5 plus years.
