Tasting Notes:

The wine is a rich, bold, full bodies Shiraz, with concentrated, ripe berry fruit flavours and a firm but velvety structure. This shiraz is loaded with spiced, red fruit with plums and well intergrated oak.


Technical:

A new project of ours is to showcase Shiraz from other great Australian wine regions to compare and contrast these wines with the Barossa Valley. Our Bin 1836 Heathcote Shiraz is produced from selected parcels of fruit from this renown region north of Melbourne. Only available from the best vintages. Our Bin 1836 Heahtcote Shiraz is a “tip of the hat” to the early Australian pioneering spirit and is named in honour of the year 1836 when Major Thomas Mitchell first visited the Heathcote area.
