THE ULTIMATE 96 POINT & GOLD MEDAL MIXED RED SIX PACK FOR UNDER $150
Alexander King Cameron Heritage Reserve Limestone Coast Shiraz 2020
Black core with red brick hue. Beautifully fragrant nose with alluring blackberry, blueberry notes with oak and Chinese five spice adding the complexity. The palate is long and luscious displaying fleshy fruit flavours highlighting the high-quality fruit used for this wine. Blackberry characters, along with some blueberries, licorice, black pepper, and dusty leather interwoven across the palate with fine tannins lingering on the slightly spritzy finish. Will drink well now although will age well and develop more complexity.
Shanahans The Old Dog Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018
Deep dark black with a purple crimson hue. Initially the overwhelming characters on the nose are blackberry and plum which is consistent with the select vineyard source. Blackcurrant and chocolate reveal themselves when allowed to breathe. Probably the most full-bodied Old Dog we have seen in recent years which is a reflection of vintage and vineyard source, therefore I suggest allowing it to breathe if drinking in its youth. The dark plum and blackberry carry over from the nose whilst some blueberry, chocolate and liquorice all play alongside each other harmoniously. The finish shows silky-smooth tannins, soft under-lying oak and earthy characters which are pivotal to the balance of this wine. We release this wine to ensure the drinkability upon release as well as longevity although do suggest allowing this exceptional Shiraz to breathe to truly reflect perfectly who we are and where we are in terms of fruit source and sub regional character from another great Barossa Valley vintage, which celebrates our commitment to the region, traditional winemaking and hands off approach.
Grant Burge The Holy Trinity Barossa Valley Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2019
The 2019 The Holy Trinity is a richly flavoured and elegantly structured GSM that continues the long and lauded heritage for this traditional blend in the Barossa Valley. The nose is a playful combination of candied apple, raspberry jubes, frangipane and lemon curd. In the background you see notes of cinnamon and clove. On the palate, you can expect a medium to full bodied wine, fresh and vibrant with enough tannin to shape the wine. Acidity carries the wine through to a clean, slightly mineral and lengthy finish. Lovely hints of fresh raspberries and cinnamon linger on the palate.
St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2019
A full bodied wine with excellent framework and a multitude of layers. Instantly apparent are blackberry and black cherry fruit with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla characters laying over top. A very decadent and opulent wine with a balanced palate, excellent structure and refined texture.

93 Point Rated - Huon Hooke
"Deep purple/red colour, with a subdued, discreet nose that summons earth and toasted-nut aromas. The palate is intense and alcohol-warm, with some headiness and a measured tannin grip that provides good structure and a firm, authoritative finish that lingers on very well. It's still quite tight and will reward cellaring."

93 Point Rated - Huon Hooke The Real Review
"Deep, dark, dense red/purple colour, with a notable patina of toasty oak on the nose. A trace of coconut. It's full-bodied and rich in the mouth, with abundant soft, fleshy tannins and supple texture, chocolate and cocoa powder foremost among the flavours. A sumptuous shiraz."
91 Point Rated - Christina Pickard Wine Enthusiast Magazine
"Rich and traditionally styled, this muscular Shiraz initially wafts plum, red fruit and chocolatey oak, trailed by bay leaf and gentle peppery spice. There's power to the sturdy palate, the fruit and spice cinched by chiseled, sandpapery tannins. Still young, this wine could reward careful cellaring through 2032."

Alexander King Cameron Heritage Reserve Limestone Coast Shiraz 2020
The fruit was selected from a single vineyard with a northeast facing slope and picked at optimum ripeness and transported to the winery and immediately crushed. Following on from this we fermented the juice on skins for 12 days to maximise colour and flavour extraction. The skins were then pressed gently and the pressings pumped back with the free-run juice. The wine was then fermented over a week then allowed to settle and was then racked off lees. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel and then was aged in the same barrels for 14 months. The wine was blended and prepared for bottling with minimal filtration.
Shanahans The Old Dog Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018
Sourced from a patchwork of vineyards in the north western side of the Barossa Valley. The Shiraz grapes were individually picked out in the vineyard for their exceptional quality, hence we allow the use of multiple sites to ensure optimum flavour profile. The grapes are picked and delivered to the winery and gently worked through the de-stemmer before being transferred to 2 and 4 tonne open fermenters. The juice is pumped over twice a day for seven days before draining and loading the basket press. The skins are then gently pressed for approximately 20 hours to retrieve more of the essence of the grape. After the wine has completed its malolactic ferment it is matured in new 15% and older 75% oak barrels for 12 months prior to bottling with minimal fining and filtration.
Grant Burge The Holy Trinity Barossa Valley Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre 2019
The Holy Trinity is a traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The fruit for this wine is Barossa grown, predominantly handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 35 to 90 years old. Even ripening periods allowed the grapes on the Barossa Valley floor to reach optimal ripeness during what was a very steady harvest in 2019. Heat and dryness toward the end of the harvest created excellent conditions for the late-ripening Grenache and Mourvèdre.
St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2019
The Blackwell Shiraz is consistently sourced from vineyards planted in the parishes of Ebenezer, Greenock and Moppa Hills, with each parcel brought to the winery as individual parcels. The pump over regime and temperature of the ferment varies across the blocks (and can also change depending on vintage conditions). Time on skins is typically in the range of 8- 12 days and ferment temperatures range from 20 - 30°C. After pressing the parcels go directly to barrel where it matures for 12 to 18 months.
