Pale summer straw. Intense citrus blossom, followed by white nectarine and a hint of vanilla custard. A tight mineral backbone overlayed with an opulent stone fruit creaminess. The center is richly complex, with a classic Yarra Valley finish - long and lingering.
95 Point Rated - Jane Faulkner Wine Companion
"Tightly coiled, just hinting at how this might unfurl in time. A savouriness overall, yet hints of lemon balm, grapefruit, flinty with perky acidity, so this is quite moreish. Oak adds an extra dimension and is seamlessly integrated."
93 Point Rated - Campbell Mattinson The Wine Front
"Sweet oats, ripe stonefruit, a clip of cedarwood and a long tail of flavour. Acidity carries it all along in a refreshing but inconspicuous way. This is Yarra Valley chardonnay, beautifully turned out."
90 Point Rated - Huon Hooke The Real Review
"Light to mid-straw colour. Lightly toasty and smoky bouquet, nicely mellow and integrated, the palate fresh and bright, crisp and lively and yet also delicate; a lovely restrained, refined wine. A nice lighter style chardonnay, not too demanding but very rewarding and good value."
A solid growing season in the Yarra Valley. Conditions encouraged very even fruit sets, resulting in big and strong canopies. Resulting wines are full of flavour, complexity and impeccable balance.
