Tasting Notes:

Hay straw with pale green hues in appearance. Delightfully aromatic, displaying delicate jasmine floral and ripe citrus aromas on the nose. The wine has a creamy mouth feel with layers of lemon and apple crumble. The mouthfeel comes from extended contact with fine lees.

Technical:

A winery steeped in tradition and Barossa history, established in 1955 by Rolf Heinrich Binder and his wife, Franziska. With the philosophy of only using primarily estate-grown fruit from their own vineyards across the Barossa, combined with traditional viticultural and winemaking techniques, a legacy that Rolf Binder Jr and his sister Christa Deans carried over 65 years, producing a range of highly acclaimed Barossa premium wines.

"Pale straw with green flashes and aromas of freshly squeezed lime, Bickford's cordial, jasmine, crushed stone, lemongrass and makrut lime. It's a mouth-filling, expansive wine as opposed to a linear, mineral hyper-beast. There's a touch of yellow plum in there, fleshing things out, some lemon curd, some green apple too, crunching things up, and just a squeeze of texture as the wine sails saline and limey into the distance."
