Pale straw, obvious green tinges. Intense aromas of fresh Kaffir lime, grapefruit and hints of citrus blossom. Vibrant flavours of Lime, Lemon, and pink grapefruit, this wine is interwoven with fine minerality and balanced acidity that lingers on the palate.
97 Point Rated - James Halliday Wine Companion
"Bin D679. As delicious as it is delicate, as intense as it is long. Citrus, spice, bath salt and red apple notes burst onto the palate and shoot their way through to a soaring finish. Entirely gorgeous."
94 Point Rated - Jeremy Oliver
"Fragrant lavender, lime juice and lemon, apple and pear with chalky undertones; long and translucently clear, stylish and shapely, brisk and racy."
92 Point Rated - Huon Hooke The Real Review
"Light, bright yellow hue, with a fresh flowery aroma reminiscent of gardenia. The wine is delicate and juicy, fine and crisp and finishes dry but soft, with a nice touch of richness. Very attractive balance."
19/20 - Vino Notebook
"A vibrant light gold/green hue. Aromas of lime cordial, lime leaf, greengage and apple skin with match green tea subtleties. A precise, exact palate with intense focus and concentration. Displaying delicate power and an incredibly long bright and juicy finish. Outstanding."

History shows that Thomas Hardy first blended grapes from multiple regions in 1865. Hardy believed that blending grapes with different characteristics would complement and enhance the qualities of each region. So began Hardy’s rich blending heritage; with each new blend a unique code was created starting from A001. For this vintage of HRB Riesling, fruit was sourced from premium vineyards in Clare Valley and Tasmanian viticultural regions. Displaying the best of both regionals, this Riesling blends the fine lemon/lime and mineral tightness of Clare valley fruit with the expressive stone fruit flavours of Tasmania. The resulting blend creates a balanced wine that expresses lifted citrus fruit tones over a lengthening mineral and acid structure that draws you in for another juicy sip.
2018 was a typical hot and dry season in Clare Valley & Derwent Valley. Spring rains brought good growth and soil moisture out of a relatively dry winter. After spring, rain events were quite sparse, and careful water management was the key to producing good fruit. Rieslings this year show great citrus fruit concentration and elevated mineral characters
