Medium straw in colour with bright, green tinges. Intense aromas of ripe citrus lemon and stone fruit with a hint of toasty oak interwoven with a rich and savoury palate that is complex, textural with a juicy finish. A rich, powerful and elegant wine.

Technical:

Eileen Hardy Chardonnay looks to preserve the essential characteristics of the fruit in the vineyard. To create the highest quality blend every vintage. Gentle handling of the fruit and wine help to achieve this, while restrained winemaking assists in developing the complexity of the final blend.

Accolades & Awards:

96 Points - James Halliday Wine Companion

"While this has been tightened up in fealty to more contemporary trends - mineral crunch and linearity - it is still a richer expression of this great grape than many. Ample stone fruit references strut along a stage of flint and oak. Plenty of moxie. Long and energetic. And in an age of regional singularity, this applies the classic Australian approach of inter-regional blending across the Yarra and Tasmania, all to maximise potential, complexity and poise. For your benefit."

96 Points - Huon Hooke The Real Review

"Medium yellow colour, with a very toasty, smoky and roasted-hazelnut bouquet, with quite prominent, but not excessive, oak. The palate is very intense, concentrated and long, with again some oak showing and a light grip of tannin on the extremely long farewell. Excellent fruit concentration. It's starting to fill out now. A very tasty chardonnay."
