The Petaluma Croser Adelaide Hills Sparkling Brut NV is a premium sparkling wine crafted with care and precision using the traditional method, which is the same technique employed in Champagne production for centuries. This meticulous process, which includes fermenting, maturation, riddling, and disgorging all in the same bottle, is key to achieving the ultra-fine bubbles and complexity that make Croser sparkling wines stand out.
The wine presents a complex and elegant profile, with an alluring nose that combines the richness of honey and cashew, lifted by a citrus freshness. The palate showcases the wild strawberry Pinot characters, accompanied by a creamy, buttery touch of nectarine Chardonnay, which beautifully transitions into a soft yeasty finish buoyed by green apple acidity. This balance of fruit and creaminess makes it a delightful sparkling wine that offers both vibrancy and complexity.
The grapes used for this wine are carefully hand-harvested, ensuring only the finest fruit reaches the winery. Hand harvesting into small crates helps to avoid any damage to the grapes, preserving the delicate flavors and freshness. The cool-climate vineyards in the Adelaide Hills contribute to the wine's freshness and finesse, producing a sparkling wine that stands the test of time.
This 92-point-rated sparkling wine is a must-try for lovers of complex, elegant sparkling wines and pairs beautifully with oysters, smoked salmon, or light seafood dishes

"The expertise of Croser’s impeccably crafted vintage wines has filtered down to its bargain-priced non-vintage. This is a fruit-focused style of wild strawberries, golden delicious apples, wild honey and notes of mixed spice. A zesty acid cut and a fine bead make for a clean and refreshing aperitif style."

"64% pinot noir, 36% chardonnay. Plenty of attitude. Strawberry and sweet bread flavours put on a pretty impressive show. Serve this and it won't go unnoticed. There's sweetness here but the base material is good. Indeed all things considered it's pretty keen buying."

"Classy, seamless, finely crafted Australian premium."

"Amazingly this is a Traditional Method wine that's spent a minimum of 18 months on lees, its cuvée 64% pinot noir, 35% chardonnay and a 1% of “other” variety. Its dosage is 10g/L and it shows with a sweeter fruit sense, though a slight tonic bitterness in the finish cuts that, and a bit of length as well."
