A compelling expression of Central Otago terroir, the Rock Ferry Cawtes Cave Pinot Noir 2021 is a certified organic wine with poise, personality, and purity.


In the glass, dark berry and ripe plum aromas dominate, backed by whispers of anise and warming spice. The palate is fruit-focused yet elegant, revealing layers of depth shaped by fine-grained tannins and a natural balance.


Named after the legendary Cawte’s Cave—a riverside landmark in Marlborough—this wine is farmed organically and made with minimal intervention. Grapes are 80-90% de-stemmed, with 10-20% whole bunches left to enhance texture. Wild fermentation follows a cold soak, with maturation in 20% new French oak for 14 months.


Handcrafted and fined with organic eggs, this wine reflects a philosophy of purity and place.
