GOLD MEDAL WINNER RATED 93 POINTS BAROSSA VALLEY SHIRAZ FROM PRODUCER ESTABLISHED IN 1853
Vintage: 2017
Source/Region: Barossa Valley, South Australia
Grape Variety: Shiraz
Cellaring: Drink now or cellar 3-6 years
Bottle Top: Stelvin
Alcohol Content: 14.00
Standard Drinks: 8.30
Sourced from a vineyard in the heart of the Barossa between Nuriootpa and Tanunda the wine was fermented in small open top stainless-steel fermenters to retain concentrated fruit flavours. To complete the fermentation process and maturation the wine went into oak barrique barrels for 12 months. The use of oak has allowed the characters to infiltrate the highly concentrated fruit flavour creating a well-balanced yet complex tannin structure.
93 Point Rated - Australian Wine Showcase Magazine
Previous Vintage Review - Robert Parker
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Conquest Shiraz offers evolving aromas of mulberries and warm plums with hints of leather, tobacco and Chinese five spice. Mature and drinking well now, it has a medium to full body and a good amount of spiced warm berry flavors supported by crisp acid and a low to medium level of powdery tannins, finishing medium to long. Drinking well now."
