90 POINT RATED BOB CAMPBELL THE REAL REVIEW FROM THE MALBEC CAPITAL OF THE WORLD ARGENTINA
Vintage: 2022
Source/Region: Argentina
Grape Variety: Other
Cellaring: Drink now or cellar short term
Bottle Top: Stelvin
Alcohol Content: 13.50
Standard Drinks: 8.00
The Alamos Malbec has a dark purple color with violet highlights. The nose offers bright black berry aromas with light floral notes and a touch of toast. The mouth-feel is full and rich, with ripe, concentrated cassis and black raspberry fruit interwoven with a touch of chocolate and sweet spice from light oak aging. The finish shows ripe, silky tannins.
The grapes for Alamos are grown at an altitude of between 3,000 and 5,000 feet where the temperature variation allows the grapes to grow slowly developing more flavour. Hand harvesting and sorting ensure only the best grapes are used to make the wine. This wine is all about bright red and black berry fruits. It is soft and harmonious with just a touch of spice on the smooth finish. A great match for a rare steak or grilled sausages.
90 Point Rated - Bob Campbell The Real Review
Quite an elegant, not overpowering malbec with dark-fleshed plum, coffee, spice, mocha and chocolate/vanilla flavours. Sweet, ripe fruit balances mellow tannins and adds to the wine's drinkability
