Bromance Wines Barossa Shiraz 2017

Deep and dark core with cherry red hue. Perfumed highly aromatic nose once allowed to open up, it shows blackberry and mulberry notes initially with more complexity coming in the form of black pepper, some earthy tones and dark Barossa Chocolate. The palate has concentrated flavours blackberry, spicy plum, dark chocolate, and a touch of pepper which is intertwined with natural fruit acidity, tannin and oak. The tannins have a wonderful length and line, which ensures the wine, lingers for an extended period whilst the oak has transformed and melted into place perfectly to become a passenger allowing the natural fruit acid and notes of pepper to give additional length.

Aged in oak the flavour has infiltrated the wine without overpowering it. It is a full-bodied with soft velvety tannins and a long finish.

Rowella Estate Tasmanian Pinot Noir 2018

Dark cherry with youthful purple notes. Fresh lively bouquet which is highly aromatic with lavish notes of cherry and strawberry and a touch of spiciness. Ripe cherry and raspberry with some strawberry flavours which all reveal themselves on the front palate. Lively spices add depth to the mid palate. The tannins are supple, soft and silky-smooth offering additional mid palate richness and well-balanced acidity provides the back palate with a perfect kick to this perfectly delectable and drinkable style of Pinot Noir.

1888 O'Keefe Trail Heathcote Shiraz 2017

Inky black with dusty red hue. Liquorice, black cherries and pepper and spice. Some vanilla oak and earth characters are also evident. The palate has rich liquorice and black cherry flavours with notes of blackberry, vanillin oak and pepper and spice following up. The fine-grained tannins provide wonderful length and a framework for the long finish.

Technical:

1838 Reserve Grenache 2018

Fruit was sourced from low yielding old vine vineyards in South Australia’s premium viticultural region McLaren Vale. The result is intensely flavoured wines due to the care and attention these growers give them. This wine was fermented warm and received pump overs during fermentation. The wine is made with limited oak aging to ensure fruit purity is the hero here. This wine will continue to develop over the next couple of years however it will be at its best over the short to medium terms while the fruit flavours are at their most vibrant.

Southern Lights Marlborough Merlot 2016

Southern Lights Merlot is sourced from an established vineyard in Marlborough’s Southern Valley region.

Following fermentation, the wine was matured in tank prior to being bottled.

1888 O'Keefe Trail Heathcote Shiraz 2017

Pioneer Andrew O'Keefe migrated to Victoria's goldfields from Ireland, finding his fortune in unique iron railways and bridges. In 1888 O'Keefe's own locomotive pulled the very first passenger train from Sandhurst to Heathcote. The Heathcote line originally ran passenger series as well as transporting local supplies to the gold mines in Bendigo. Our wine is a tribute to the many early pioneers who built the historic railways and helped to unite Australia's many township and people.

Sourced from a single vineyard just outside the township of Heathcote bordering the O’Keefe Rail Trail. The vineyards aspect is northeast facing with a gentle sloping contour in the world renowned ancient Cambrian soils. Fruit was machine picked and de-stemmed prior to crushing and fermentation with 20% whole punch. We used a combination of new and old American and French oak to develop flavour in line with fruit concentration.
