Babich Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Grapes from our own estates and select growers were picked, crushed and pressed at perfect ripeness. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at various temperatures to capture the fresh flavours unique to Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. A small percentage was fermented wild to build in some palate complexity. After extensive tastings by the winemakers the wine was assembled, lightly fined and bottled.

Baby Doll Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2021

The 2021 growing season in Marlborough was a hot and dry one. We received small amounts of rain around the end of December, but then no further rain until late February. These rain events had very little impact on soil moisture levels, but helped to replenish our rivers, setting us up nicely to see us through to harvest. Vintage started in mid-March and it provided us with incredibly stable weather. This meant we could pick blocks at their optimum ripeness. The Sauvignon Blanc produced from this vintage has concentrated fruit flavours, with a vibrant pure palate and an elegant fresh finish.

Individual parcels of Sauvignon Blanc were selected for this wine from our Awatere and Wairau Valley vineyards. The parcels were harvested and fermented separately, using selected yeast strains for Sauvignon Blanc to enhance varietal character. A long, cool fermentation took place over four weeks, with the parcels then being blended and stabilised, prior to bottling.

Tahuna wines are grown in New Zealand’s premium wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Marlborough. The warm, dry growing seasons and free-draining gravel soils of both regions have enabled them to become world renowned wine growing regions. These regions are also known for their agricultural excellence, producing export quality stone fruit, lamb, beef and venison, along with olive oil and lavender in more recent times.

The Dianne Victorian Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Sourced from premium vineyards across Victoria. After a superb growing season of warm days and cool nights, the grapes were night harvested, then the juice was carefully crushed before fermentation in stainless steel to ensure fruit flavour was focus. After minimal handling the wine was filtered and bottled.
