The Normans Regional Series McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2025 is a fresh, vibrant expression of Chardonnay, perfect for those who appreciate crisp, clean, and textured wines. This unoaked style brings forward a fresh, bright nose with grapefruit, lemon, and white peach aromas, while a touch of natural apricot adds an extra layer of complexity. The juicy citrus profile is complemented by lees character, providing a depth of flavour rarely found in unoaked Chardonnays.
Harvested at optimal ripeness during the cool of the night, the grapes were gently crushed and destemmed before being transferred to the bag press. Pressings were carefully separated from the free run juice, then cold settled and racked before undergoing a long, cool fermentation process. This wine was bottled early to preserve its pristine flavours, ensuring maximum freshness.
The 96 Point Rated previous vintage was awarded Double Gold Medal at the Melbourne International Wine Competition and 96 Points at the Australian Wine Showcase Magazine, solidifying Normans Wines as a prestigious producer. Established in 1853, Normans Wines continues to deliver exceptional quality with every bottle.
Enjoy this Chardonnay with grilled seafood, fresh salads, or light poultry dishes for an unforgettable dining experience.
91 Point Rated & 4.5 Stars - Sam Kim Wine Orbit
"Delightfully ripe and elegant, the wine shows notes of peach, rockmelon, citrus peel, and nougat on the nose. The palate offers a beautifully rounded mouthfeel and smooth texture, well-supported by crisp acidity, making it a well-balanced wine with a lengthy, finely dry finish. At its best: now to 2029. $35.00. www.normanswines.com. Aug 2025."
