Crimson red. Black cherry and etheral earth spice. A seamless palate that flows from front to back, integrated and complex. Dark fruits sing, with black cherry and Satsuma plum in the forefront. Rich with great depth and a fine-boned strucutre, the finish is a fanfare of silky fruit and fine tannins.

The 2017 vintage was a 1-in-20 season in the Yarra Valley. Optimal growing conditions, allowed for perfectly balanced vines and beautifully ripened grapes. In these pristine years, spectacular fruit flavours are combined with intensity and power, producing wines of true longevity. Fruit was hand picked from our Coldstream site (50%) and the Valley floor (50%). De-stemmed and cold soaked for 4 days. Fermented in open fermenters and hand plunged daily. Matured in French oak puncheons for 11 months.
