Peter Lehmann built his winery by defying accepted wisdom, courting near misses and narrow scrapes, and never shirking the opportunity to challenge the norm. These wines are made to capture the colour and fun experienced as Peter Lehmann lived his dream, with all his ‘art and soul. The same values exist today with our winemakers treating every wine as a blank canvas and their “palette” consisting of fruit from more than 140 growers. 

Shiraz was one of the first wines to be made by Peter Lehmann Wines and holds a special place with our winemakers today. Displaying a richness and elegance typical of the region, the Art ‘n’ Soul Shiraz offers a balanced, easy drinking wine suitable for everyday occasions. 

The 2015 was an early vintage following a cool and dry growing season and timely rainfall at veraison. These conditions preserved bright colour fruit and natural acidity of the wines. Old, established Shiraz vines sourced from hand selected sites across South Australia. The grapes were crushed and fermented on skins for seven days before passing off. The wine was then clarified and placed in a mix of American and French oak hogsheads for 12 months prior to bottling.
