2x Australia Felix Victorian Sagrantino 2020 - 14.50% Alc

This wine is clear with a deep garnet bowl fading to a faint brickish orange rim. The wine is clean on the nose with medium intense aromas of morello cherry, stewed red plum with enhanced secondary  developed characters of vanilla, cedar, clove, cinnamon and tobacco. The wine is dry on the palate with medium acidity, confirming stewed red plum and prune with emerging red cherry and rhubarb. Secondary and developed characters of vanilla, liquorice, cedar, clove, cinnamon, earthiness, leather and tar eventuate on the palate coupled with medium plus chalky tannins to create a full bodied but layered structure with a pleasant finish and generous length.

This premium barrel reserve wine is produced from low yielding vineyards of  South Australia’s Wrattonbully region, incorporating our best parcels of fruit.  The wine displays a rich and inky body with a vibrant cherry hue.  Ripe red berry fruits with dried herbs and eucalyptus on the nose with a long complex palate of concentrated fruit. 14 months in French barriques gives this wine a wonderfully toasty flavour.  This wine is unfiltered to retain its true characters.
