Tasting Notes:

Delicate nose with wonderful fruit driven characters of citrus blossom, lime and a touch of spice. Generously fruited with flavours of fresh lemon citrus, soft delicate touch of acidity supported by a moreish, persistent finish.

Technical:

Fruit for the 2024 Watervale Riesling was again sourced from a small vineyard a couple of minutes outside of the township of Watervale. A cool and wetter than average season due to extended La Nina weather pattern had its challenges across much of the Clare Valley region although we found Watervale shone in terms of quality. We machine harvested fruit and then chilled overnight; partly whole bunch pressed to provide pristine juice then we fermented cool in stainless steel tanks with select yeast strains. Some aging on lees provided ability to give additional weight and texture prior to filtration and bottling.
