Technical:

The Laroche family has been crafting wine in Chablis since 1850, and Michel Laroche, the fifth generation, took the helm in 1967, carrying on the tradition of showcasing the true essence of Chablis. As the first generation to make a living solely from wine production and sales, Michel has witnessed remarkable transformations in the region while maintaining the legacy of his ancestors.

Domaine Laroche, one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy, operates from the historic l’Obédiencerie, a listed monastery dating back to the 9th–16th century, where monks first crafted Chablis. This cuvée offers a perfect introduction to the Chablis range, embodying the expertise of Laroche and the timeless artistry of Burgundian vinification.

The Reserve Chardonnay is sourced from cool, high-altitude terroirs, matured on its lees—some in demi-muid barrels—following Burgundian tradition. The vines, all over 30 years old, thrive in a mosaic of clay and limestone soils, producing a wine with exceptional freshness and elegant notes of white-fleshed fruits.
