Tasting Notes:

Bright complex Chardonnay citrus florals, nutty oak, minerally and fine. Gently textured palate, savoury, chalky phenolics, hints of nuts, great balance of variety and region.

Technical:

The “Summer Paddock” of the historic Gulf Station property was always known to be green and fertile. It is now home of De Bortoli Yarra Valley where wines are crafted by Steve Webber and the wine team.

Fruit was sourced from a selection of premium vineyards from Dixons Creek, Yarra Glen and Tarrawarra. Fruit is gently pressed and allowed to settle overnight. Turbid juice is then racked to both French oak casks and stainless tanks. Lees are stirred in late Autumn and then left to rest until the finishing stages before blending and bottling.
