The Watershed Senses Margaret River Chardonnay 2025 is an elegant and expressive Chardonnay that showcases the quality and pedigree of Margaret River winemaking. Sourced from premium northern Margaret River vineyards and crafted using a combination of Gingin and Clone 95 fruit, this refined release balances freshness, texture and complexity beautifully.
Pale straw in colour with a subtle green hue, the wine opens with lifted aromas of citrus and ripe nectarine, complemented by delicate oak nuances. The palate is vibrant yet creamy, offering layers of stone fruit and citrus flavours supported by fine natural acidity that provides length, balance and persistence through the finish. Fermentation in both tank and seasoned oak, followed by five months on lees, adds texture and complexity while maintaining freshness and varietal purity.
Awarded 93 Points by Russell Gallagher of Vinomasters and 90 Points by Sam Kim of Wine Orbit, this impressive Chardonnay continues the strong reputation of the Watershed Senses range. Produced by acclaimed winemaker Severine Logan at Watershed Wines, a James Halliday 5 Red Star Winery, it follows a previous vintage that claimed Gold at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show and famously outscored Penfolds Bin 311 Chardonnay.
Perfect with grilled seafood, roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes and soft cheeses, this versatile Margaret River Chardonnay is equally suited to entertaining or relaxed everyday enjoyment.
