From one of the driest, warmest, and earliest vintages the Clare Valley has ever seen, comes one of our earliest releases of Joshua Tree Riesling. We are privileged to be custodians of some truly old vine Riesling (planted in the 1930’s) as well as more youthful parcels dating back 20 to 30 years. All our Riesling is located in the Watervale growing region and we have the luxury of blending from the best parcels across our three sites to craft our Joshua Tree each year. The warmer southern sites contribute floral notes and the northern Shankly vineyard show greater fruit weight and acid balance.
Palest gold in colour with a light green tinge. I want to feel the sunlight on my face, with a glass of this Watervale Riesling, that bursts onto the scene with electric freshness. A radiant lift of lemon and lime, harmonized with whispers of orange blossom, calls you forth—you’ve found what you’re looking for.
This wine takes you on a soulful journey, carried by exquisitely fine natural acid. A citrus crescendo of pure lemon pulp intensity rises, wrapped in the unmistakable minerality of Watervale’s chalky soils. There’s an enigmatic restraint to this Joshua Tree that hints at even greater heights to come. The finish reverberates, echoing grapefruit and a distinct freshness with a lingering softness—like the final notes of a ballad, fading but never forgotten.

"Some of the vines used for this very youthful but delightfully fresh Riesling from the Watervale sub-region date back to the 1930s. Pale lemon in colour, this is beautifully perfumed, with notes of lemon curd, spices, florals and grapefruit. A fine line of minerals and riverstones in the background as support. There is fine balance and bright acidity, which runs the full journey. Enjoy over the next ten to fifteen years. Stunning value."

"It's elegant and beautifully scented on the nose, with aromas of green apple, white-fleshed nectarine, fig, and lime peel. The palate is concentrated and focused with fine flow, backed by beautifully pitched acidity, making it wonderfully structured and harmonious with a sustained, refined finish. At its best: 2028 to 2037. $25.00."

"New Season Riesling ready to go in line with the 2025 Vintage’s early harvest. Watervale sourced, brimming with all its regional character and freshly unleashed energy. Fantastic lemon and lime crush – juice and zest, makrut lime leaf as well – with a distinctive lavender like perfume. The lemons drive the palate at first, acidity lively up front, tapering to a more restrained zing in the finish, leaving more of a white pepper spice note to linger in the exit, that perfume reverberating as you lower the glass. Very approachable for such a freshie."

"A springtime fling of star jasmine, white pear and yellow plums. There is a salt bath mineral note, crushed chalk and all manner of lemon and lime trees overloaded with hanging with fruit. The palate is fairly dry with a skerrick of tutti fruity nectar, but with that bracingly crisp finish we all know and love. A touch of fuzzy sage and raw almond on the finish. This is perky and uplifted and a wonderful wine to kick start a party. Drink with dancing music, corn chips and chunky guacamole."

"Light, lifted fragrance of gardenias, traces of lime and lemon pith, which confirms on palate where there is a distinct twist of lemon-peel bitterness. Delicious and refreshing with the bitterness contributing to a cleansing quality on the finish. Not quite bone-dry, but intense and balanced, and delicious."

"There's good texture here which makes for a nice counterpoint to the tangy citrus zing of fruit. The full citrus spectrum is on show with lemon sherbet, grapefruit pith and lime juice and notes of citrus blossom, green apple, lemongrass and hints of ginger. Palate is super dry, crisp as a starched shirt and tangy. Great drive and finish. Drink now - 2032."
