The Kreglinger Tasmania Sparkling Brut Rosé NV is a sophisticated and elegant sparkling wine crafted in the Méthode Traditionnelle, showcasing the best of Tasmania’s Pipers Brook district. Sourced from a single vineyard of high-density Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier vines, this wine benefits from over 12 months of aging on lees in the bottle, resulting in a refined and creamy texture. The site was carefully chosen after years of trialing, ensuring that the vines produce top-quality fruit suited for sparkling wine production.
The Pipers Brook district, known for its Ferrosol (volcanic) soils, provides the ideal growing conditions, with basalt-derived soils offering excellent water retention. The vines are managed without irrigation, ensuring optimal grape quality. The Vertical Shoot Positioned (VSP) trellises provide excellent exposure to sunlight, enhancing ripening and flavour development.
A blend of 61% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier, this sparkling rosé offers a delicate, fresh profile. The nose is aromatic with notes of red berries, wild strawberries, and hints of rosewater and Turkish delight, creating an inviting and complex bouquet. On the palate, the wine reveals wild strawberries and cream, wild red berries, and a subtle touch of white pepper spice, complemented by a creamy texture and refreshing acidity. Its great length and gorgeous balance make it an exceptional choice for those who appreciate elegant sparkling wines.
The Kreglinger Tasmania Sparkling Brut Rosé NV has been 95-point rated by Dave Brookes at James Halliday Wine Companion and was awarded Sparkling Rosé of the Year by James Halliday, further solidifying its status as a top-tier sparkling wine. The winery also holds a 5 Red Star rating, a testament to its excellence and consistent quality.
Perfect for celebratory occasions, as an aperitif, or paired with seafood, light appetizers, or soft cheeses, the Kreglinger Tasmania Sparkling Brut Rosé NV is a wine that delivers elegance, complexity, and outstanding finesse, making it a standout choice for sparkling wine lovers.
95 Point Rated - Dave Brookes James Halliday Wine Companion
"Pinot noir from the Pipers Brook vineyard in northern Tasmania. The palest of salmon flushes in the glass with a fine, lovely bead. Pure redcurrant and red cherry notes with hints of raspberry pastry, crushed stone and light red blossom hints. Tight and focussed with impressive drive and fruit purity, excellent tension and a crystalline sense of place. Superb-value drinking."

"The Ninth Island and Kreglinger set represents the finest trio of sparkling roses outside of Champagne, and the best value, too. Kreglingers non-vintage sits in the middle, a radiant exemplar of why Pipers River produces the New Worlds finest sparkling Pinot Noir (almost two-thirds of the blend). I adore its floral fragrance, its gentle juxtaposition of fruit succulence and zest, and most of all its gloriously silky texture, thanks to 18 months maturation on lees. This is wine to baffle any Champagne rose snob. 12.5%."
