Tasting Notes:

Medium to full bodied in structure with textural tannins providing persistence and rounding-out the palate. This is a flavoursome wine that retains elegance and style in which the fruit plays the dominant role.

Technical:

The focus in producing this wine is to have vibrancy of fruit on the nose and palate with a tight structure and attractive mouth filling roundness. The fruit was all grown on our Estate between the McLaren Vale and Willunga townships. Following fermentation on skins, the components were pressed before dryness and allowed some oak fermentation. On the completion of malo-lactic fermentation, the wine was 're-worked' and returned to oak for further maturation.

Accolades & Awards:

92 Point Rated - Stuart Knox The Real Review

Intense ruby core with a deep purple rim. Mulberry and bouquet garni on the nose. Quite a full palate, with a slippery glide of black fruits and iodine notes. The tannins sit in the velvet spectrum and accentuate the flow to a silky finish.

Highly Rated- Ned Goodwin MW Halliday Wine Companion

For the price, this rich smooth red offers plenty to like. A peddle of reduction is gently pressed across the mid palate, conferring an iodine-soused tension that melds with an exuberantly floral attack. A ripple of blueberry, anise and sweet dark cherry, too. The oak references, nicely incorporated. The finish, round of texture, generous of flavour and warm, without being hot. A bit tangy, to be churlish. Solid drinking.
