Miles From Nowhere Margaret River Shiraz Tempranillo 2023 is a bold and expressive Western Australian red that blends the richness of Shiraz with the structure and savoury complexity of Tempranillo. Sourced from two carefully selected Margaret River vineyards in Willyabrup and Jindong, the fruit reflects the region’s diverse terroirs — with Willyabrup delivering depth and intensity, while the sun-drenched Jindong site contributes vibrant fruit and structure.

Harvested in the cool of the early morning, the fruit underwent traditional fermentation with daily pump-overs and extended maceration to build flavour and colour. The wine was then matured in a mix of French and American oak, around 25–30% new, adding complexity while allowing the fruit to remain the focus.

The bouquet opens with lifted aromas of blue pastilles, ripe dark cherries and black fig jam, layered with hints of cocoa, tobacco and freshly baked chocolate cake. On the palate, the wine is bright and juicy with vibrant flavours of cherry, pomegranate and plum supported by notes of orange rind, bittersweet chocolate and savoury minerality. Robust yet polished tannins carry the wine through to a long, dry finish with a touch of salty liquorice.

From a multi award-winning Margaret River producer, with the previous vintage a Triple Gold Medal winner, this Shiraz Tempranillo offers a powerful yet balanced red ideal for grilled meats, slow-roasted lamb, charcuterie or rich Mediterranean dishes.
